INTERVIEW WITH A SAVIOR

(Please note that all the responses attributed to Jesus come straight from the bible).

Interviewer:  Ok, let’s end the debate Mr. Christ.  Are you God?

JC:  The father is greater than I (John 14:28)

Interviewer:  Are you saying…

JC:  The Lord our God, the Lord is one (Mark 12:29)

Interviewer:  You know, some people would marvel at the opportunity to be called God, but you are an honest person.  You truly are good.

JC:  Why do you call me good?  No one is good-except God alone.  (Mark 10:18)

Interviewer:  This is going to bother so many people.

JC:  Do not let your hearts be troubled.  Trust in God; Trust also in me. (John 14:1)

Interviewer:  But what about all the miracles?

JC: Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him, as you yourselves know.  (Acts 2:22)

Interviewer:  So there you have it, we no longer need to be confused by such biblical verses as “And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men.”  (Luke 2:52).  Imagine, Jesus growing in favor with himself, pretty conceited.  How ignorant we were.

Inheriting Eternal Life

Interviewer:  So ‘what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ (Luke 10:25)

JC: ‘What is written in the law? What do you read there?’ (Luke 10:26)

Interviewer:  ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind; and your neighbour as yourself.’ (Luke 10:27)

JC: ‘You have given the right answer; do this, and you will live.’ (Luke 10:28)

Interviewer:  ‘Good Teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?’ (Luke 18:18)

JC:  ‘Why do you call me good? No one is good but God alone. 20You know the commandments: “You shall not commit adultery; You shall not murder; You shall not steal; You shall not bear false witness; Honour your father and mother.” (Luke 18: 19-20)

Interviewer:  ‘I have kept all these since my youth.’ (Luke 18: 21)

JC:  ‘There is still one thing lacking. Sell all that you own and distribute the money to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; then come, follow me.’ (Luke 18:22)

JC:  ‘How hard it is for those who have wealth to enter the kingdom of God! 25Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God.’  (Luke 18: 24-25)
