Gospel of Judas

What do you think are the effects of this Gospel and/or the National Geographic special?

Do you think when they stated that Arius decided on only including 4 of the more than 30 Gospels because "The wind blew in four directions" do you think this statement may create doubts in the minds of Christians?

The gospel of Judas should have no effect on Christain beliefs as most of it seems to be a work of fiction. It was excluded from the Bible and therefore cannot be considered reliable. Just because it was supposedly written by someone who's name appears in the Bible does not lend it any credibility

Then in that case, we should discredit the entire Bible.  At least that one did have a name on it, the others did not.  Many scholars believe that the writers of Matthew and Luke copied from the "Q" document and Mark.  Nobody is even sure who wrote Mark.  And John is among the most doubtful.

That there are still Gospels turning up and being questions should be frightening.  According to the documentary on Judas, Aruis chose only four of over 34 Gospels because the wind blew in only four directions.

That is really, really, scary.

What is really scary is that people believe a documentary about Christianity made by people who are anti-Christian. That's like believing a documentary about Muslim and terrorism that was produced by people who hate Muslims.

if people are believing in the Gospel Of Judas then I don't know what to think, Matthew was the first Gospel ever written, and there are original documents in the Vatican and in England.. that "Gospel of John was written by a group of people who believed that was the real story.. you just have to read the Torah and then read the gospel and see that everything fits well

It was Mark, then Matthew.  And actually, there are no originals left.  Still, If you read the Gospels alone (Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John), and if you read the Torah, compare it to the Qur'an, you'd be amazed, the message isn't that different.  The Gospels and Torah don't really teach a trinity.  Also, the Gospels and Torah both make it clear that their must be works along with faith.

Peace be with you
