Again, the story is a whole. The Moral of the story was that it was hard for the rich to enter the kingdom of heaven. What is impossible with man is possible with God. It is not a general description of eternal life. As I stated, Jesus said He was eternal life.

Also, Muhammad is the Holy Spirit? If that were the case, there would be a fourth attribute to God. I know that Muhammad claimed to have some sort of respect for Jesus, but what exactly did Muhammad say about himself. Why is he so important. What did he do to change the world. I have never heard?

I believe that Jesus (pbuh) was no more than a great Prophet of God.  God raised him, as the Qur'an attests, to his side before he was crucified, and made it appear to them as if he had been crucified.

The apocryphal Revelations of Peter also supports this, as does the Gospel of Barnabas does also, and they were both written before the Qur'an.  Revelations of Peter was very popular before the Bible was put together.

They are irrelevant because of the context those words used to describe Jesus (pbuh).  It is irrelevant that you argue the Qur'an calls Jesus (pbuh) the word of god, because the Qur'an describes in what way he was the word.

No, the question was how to acheive eternal life, but again, Jesus never said anything about the atonement.  Keep the law, why would he say that?

He is not the Holy Spirit, Jesus (pbuh) was never talking about the Holy Spirit.  He talked of a Spirit to come.  Many Prophets in teh Bible were called Spriits.  Also, why would Jesus (pbuh) say he had to leave for the Spririt to come?  It is clear in the Bible that the Holy Spirit was there before Jesus (pbuh) came, while he was here, and after he left.

Lets keep with this topics for now.  I want to concentrate on what was so important that Muhammad (pbuh) did.  I know it's long, but please try and read the story of Muhammad (pbuh) under his section of the website.  I'll try to post some quotes about Jesus (pbuh) soon also.

By the way, Muhammad (pbuh) and the Qur'an both speak very well and respectful of Jesus (pbuh), but they do deny his being God (which he never claimed anyway.)  Muhammad (pbuh) even says that Jesus (pbuh) is closest to him in brotherhood of all the Prophets.  And Muhammad (pbuh) also made it clear that after he died, he was to never be worshiped cause he was only Human.  Muhammad (pbuh) is just a messenger to us.

Would you like some time to research Islam on your own before we continue?  At least then we'll be on the same page.

Thanks,

Tarek

I have just read in the bible where it talks about  the Comforter. You say this is Muhammad. The bible says that Jesus will pray to the father and He will give us a comforter,( Muhammad?) but than it says that the Comforter will be with us forever and live inside of us. How can Muhammad be with us forever, did he not die? How can he live inside of us, unless he rose from the dead as a spirit.

I provided a link that can explain it much better than I.  If you would just follow the links I post for you, you would have many of your questions answered.

Here it is again:  http://www.mostmerciful.com/prophecy.htm

There are actually many more prophecies about Muhammad (pbuh) in the bible

What concerned the rich man was how he could earn his way to heaven. I believe Jesus was letting him know that no matter what he did, he could not earn his way to heaven. Jesus said, Keep the law. The boy replied that he was keeping the Law. But Jesus knew as did the boy, he wasn't and couldn't keep the whole law perfectly. No one can. We can not earn our way to heaven. It is a gift. It can't even be bought. With one exception, Jesus the perfect sacrifice. He is the only one that could keep the law because he wrote it. Out of Jesus comes perfection no matter what he did. The perfect human, Gods perfect plan. That is why he said to keep the Law. He would always tell those he healed to go and sin no more. Why would he say that? For our benefit. The less of the law we break, the less heart ache we receive. I think God wants us to enjoy our life with him. Just like a parent tells their child not to do this or that. To keep them safe. But still we fail, that is why we need Jesus to save us.

He didn't tell him to keep it perfectly, Jesus (pbuh) was implying for him to live by the law.  Everything you're saying is based on your thinking, it is not there in those verses.  The Lawyer and Doctor (Jesus (pbuh) was asked this same question twice, once by a doctor, once by a lawyer) asked specific questions, and Jesus (pbuh) asked a specific answer.  It doesn't require for you to read anything into it.  Don't search for what's not there

Tarek.

I don't see the links, but I would rather hear from you. It is ok if you don't know it all, I don't know it all either. I just pray as I think about your responces and I respond back. It would be cool if you could show me the prophesies about Muhammad in the bible.

Why would he say to live by the Law but not do it perfectly. It is like saying hey, go ahead and obey the laws when you drive but not exactly. Just to the best of your ability. That could get you into trouble.
